Problem with using Webcam on Internet Explorer

Please make sure use Internet Explorer v6/v7
Firefox or Opera, will not support MPEG with ActiveX software.

Unable to select any buttons

Internet Explorer Security Settings

"Cannot Connect to Server" error messege

 
Unable to click any buttons (buttons are greyed out)

If you cannot see any information bar, please check your
Internet Explorer Security Settings
.



Please check Your Information Bar, it should be below your Address bar.
Left Click to select Blue Bar and choose Install ActiveX Control.
Click Install.

Then, It will begin to download and Install Plug-in
After completing installation, you should able to select the following options  
   
Unable to see any Information Bar (IE Security Setting)  
Go Tools menu at the top of your Explorer Page,
Select Internet Options

Select the Security Tab from top.

Select Custom Level Button


There are 4 items that need to be changed.

1. Automatic prompting for ActiveX Controls
    -> ENABLE

2. Download signed ActiveX controls
    -> ENABLE

3. Download unsigned ActiveX controls
    -> Prompt

4. Initialize and script Active.......
    -> Prompt (option)

 

click OK, then click YES to keep settings

Close Internet Explorer and Re-open to try again.  
   
 Unable to Connect Server error messege  

Usually this happens when the router has not been Port Forwarded, or has certain ports blocked.

Please Check Your Camera Server Site
Make sure Port# 80, 4550, 5550 are all open and forward correctly.

to help you check your Port# is open or closed.

Are you using Schedule Recording?
Perhaps your schedule setting is blocking the Webcam access...
 
Did you check your User Account & Password?
Maybe there is a limitation on your User Account.
 
   
 Unable to PTZ  
Please check Your Camera Server Site, Camera Mapping PTZ settings.
Make sure enable that.
